DESCRIPTION:
This position will dispatch product for delivery ensuring that maximum efficiencies/lowest possible cost delivery methods are applied to all dispatched loads. Delivery modes dispatched will include Bulk, SL, MB, OFS, CD, SE and FS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide daily communication on Delivery Minimum exceptions and Off-Day deliveries to facility Management teams.
Dispatch actual product sold for appropriate delivery day.
Utilize Routing Software to identify the lowest cost delivery solution.
Maximize delivery efficiencies to ensure lowest cost.
Work with Facility Management teams to continuously improve information in Dispatch Database that drives the dispatching solutions in Shortrec (Routing Software).
Create efficient loads, following all DOT guidelines, that utilize the most optimal space on a truck.
Ensure all loads are transmitted to meet Warehouse deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma required.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Previous Supply Chain and or Sales Center experience preferred.
Previous experience as a dispatcher preferred.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are preferred.
Ability to multi-task.
Contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere.

·         Advises car and truck owners, when necessary, concerning mechanical problems suggesting appropriate means of repair.
·         Performs other duties as assigned or as required for the orderly management of the store, such as: removing mounting and/or installing tires, shock absorbers, batteries and other automotive supplies and services; loading and unloading trucks requiring the movement of items weighting up to 100 lbs.
