This position is located in Suffern, NY.  You must live be willing to commute to Suffern in order to qualify for this position. 
 

The successful candidate works well with minimum supervision in developing new and revised products for the Fragrance/Personal Care Categories. 
Will explore and pursue innovation to integrate into new products. 
The candidate experiments with raw materials, processing techniques and formulations in creative, non-conventional approaches. 
Must be able to research and report on technical subjects.

A well-known and highly reputable company with multiple field locations is looking for four Chemists: two each to be based in Morgantown, WV, and Binghamton, NY.These individuals will set up, operate, maintain, collect data and tear down a portable water treatment plant at remote locations.Additional responsibilities will include:Understanding and complying with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies.Spending time on the floor shop, interacting with employees engaged in the manufacturing process.Conducting water treatment projects in an efficient and timely manner.Consolidating project data and compiling project reports.Interacting with end users and consulting engineers to complete project objectives and relay testing data.Providing start-up services for Comag and Biomag product line.Utilizing a working knowledge of Headworks equipment to include Progressing Cavity Pumps, Rotary Screens and Filter Belt Presses.Providing mechanical troubleshooting in the field to Contra Shear product line.Providing training to operators for Contra Shear product lines.Qualified Candidates will possess:Experience working with environmental renovations.Possess and/or have the ability to obtain a Surface Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator License.Willingness to travel.The ability to follow testing protocols.Scientific report writing and analysis of data skills.Basic MS Office skills Word, Excel).The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.Good communication skills.Safety-oriented.Position Specifics:Location: Morgantown, WV and Binghamton, NY. Activities will include, but are not limited to, plasmid construction, tissue culture, chromatin immunoprecipitation, RNA isolation, PCR, protein purification, electrophoresis, and general support of the productivity of the laboratory.

Research Technician B

Research Technician B Summary:

The technician will participate in our NIH-funded Structural Genomics program. They will have the opportunity to train on and utilize state-of-the art equipment.

Responsibilities of Research Technician B Includes:


Duties would involve robotic protein crystallization and optimization and crystal freezing.
The technician will visually evaluate crystal quality and protein purity and evaluate the results of thermal denaturation experiments.
Additional duties would involve simple protein chemistry techniques, such as centrifugation and melting temperature determinations.
The technician will work closely with the research team to adjust solutions as necessary.
They will also be required to document procedures and provide short contributions for quarterly reports to the NIH describing the crystallization and protein chemistry protocols.
